1) Removing the protective layer:
If you were to just paint stain a piece of bamboo, the paint will not adhere to the surface. Why? Well, bamboo has a shiny and non-porous silica coating on its surface that will prevent any paint from absorbing in. There is a way to overcome this however. You need to lightly sand the bamboo, using sandpaper with a grit off between 80-120, to remove the protective layer. Remember to sand it down until there is no more shine on the surface as the paint will not hold to those parts and the finished work will not look very appealing.

2) Staining the bamboo:
To properly cover the wood, you will need to add about three layers of stain to the bamboo. First, you need to apply a thin layer of stain on the surface (with a brush) and then rub it in with a clean, dry cloth. Repeat this process at least three time. In mot cases, the more layers of stain you apply the darker the finish will be. So depending on what wood you want the bamboo to match, you may need to use anything from three layers to about six. In between layers, you may want to lightly sand the wood to allow the next layer to adhere properly. Also, allow ample time after you have painted on each layer to let the paint dry fully.

3) Sealing the bamboo:
Now that you have completed staining the bamboo, its time to move on to the last part of how to paint stain bamboo. After the layers of stain dry completely, you will probably need to add a protective layer of varnish or sealant. This is to keep the water out and help your bamboo furniture last longer. Well do not despair, as in this article I will give you my opinion on the proper routine to keep you dog in shape and living a long life.

Remember, the tips that I am providing below are only my views on how often do you need to walk your dog. There are many species that will require different amount of exercise, and also the age of your dog will affect how often do you need to walk your dog.

1) How many times a day:
I would recommend that you take your dog out for a walk twice a day. this way he/ she does not get over tired as would be the case in a single walking session, but also because it helps keep your dog in better shape. If you just took him out for one walk a day, then they would become exhausted instead of energized. Also, it is cooler and more comfortable to walk at dusk and dawn as compared to during the mid day heat. If however, the weather permits and you have the time, then I think it would be okay to take a third walk (at around lunch time). I don't think dogs mind walking and running around a lot. in fact, I think they enjoy it!

2) How long/ far should we walk:
This factor is very breed and age specific. For instance some dogs, like a Jack Russell Terrier, can be much more energetic as compared to a larger breed of dog. If you dog is elderly, then you may need to walk a shorter distance with him otherwise he will become tired and worse off health wise. If you are going to be walking your dog twice a day like mentioned above, then a good estimates will be to walk for about a half hour each time.

As you can see from the above information, the answer to the question of how often do you need to walk your dog, cannot be set in stone. Many adults are constantly playing with or collecting toys. They have usually started their toy hobby many years ago, but they never got out of it. Kids enjoy hanging out with these adults because they are usually more friendly and fun to be with.

Men are often into model cars and trucks. Some will have a collection of racing cars whilst some will have a collection of vintage trucks. But be warned though; that most of the time your precious toy truck will have its paint work destroyed by the kids or grand kids...

Lots of women have a collection of dolls from their child hood days, and often play with them when they are bored. Many of them will prefer fashion dolls whilst other will prefer antique dolls. Most of the time, ladies will start to craft clothing for their dolls and this can leading to an exciting hobby. Some ladies, (who are really creative) will craft their own dolls out of old clothes; cotton wool etc.

Wooden toys are fairly popular to adults who enjoy woodworking (as they usually make them for themselves). Also, since they are cheap to make it’s often given to the toddlers to enjoy.

Another very popular toy collection hobby is that of beanie bags. They are small; colorful; inexpensive and come in a variety of animal imitations! Another firm favorite is colleting teddy bears. I mean, who doesn't collect (or at least have them from child hood days) teddy bears?
